Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 13, 2026

Privacy is at the core of everything I build. This policy explains what data I collect through the 1shot marketing website and the 1shot app, how I use it, and the rights you have over your information. I wrote this to be readable, not to hide behind legal jargon.

1. What I Collect

On the website

  • Email address — when you join the waitlist
  • Signup source — how you found the waitlist (direct visit, shared link, etc.) to understand what's working
  • Basic website analytics — page views and general traffic patterns, collected in a privacy-friendly way without personal identifiers

In the app

I collect anonymous analytics to help ensure the app is working correctly. None of this data is tied to your identity:

  • Device information — iOS version and phone model
  • Photo metadata — how the photo was added (camera capture vs. album selection) and limited EXIF data (camera model, ISO, aperture, shutter speed). I never collect the photo itself or any GPS/location data from EXIF.
  • App analytics — general usage patterns to identify bugs and improve performance

None of the in-app analytics is linked to personally identifiable information. I cannot connect this data back to you as an individual.

2. How I Use Your Data

Your email

  • Sending you updates about 1shot's development and beta launch
  • Notifying you when it's your turn to access the beta
  • Occasional updates about the project (no more than once a week)
  • Announcements about new features or milestones

In-app analytics

  • Identifying and fixing bugs
  • Understanding which features are working well and which need improvement
  • Ensuring the app performs reliably across different devices and iOS versions

I will never sell your email address or analytics data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than improving 1shot.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your email address is stored securely with my email service provider (see Third-Party Services below). I use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission.

I do not store any data on my own servers beyond what's managed by my email provider and static site hosting platform.

4. Third-Party Services

I use a small number of trusted services to run this website:

  • ConvertKit — email service provider. Stores your email address and manages waitlist communications. Their privacy policy.
  • Vercel / Netlify — website hosting. Serves the static website files. May collect basic server logs (IP addresses, request times) as part of standard web hosting.
  • Plausible Analytics (if enabled) — privacy-friendly analytics. Does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and is fully GDPR compliant. Their privacy policy.

I do not use any advertising pixels, tracking scripts, or social media trackers. No data is shared with Facebook, Google Ads, or any advertising network.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of all data I hold about you
  • Delete — request that I permanently delete all your data
  • Unsubscribe — opt out of all emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email I send
  • Portability — receive your data in a standard, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email me at privacy@humanfeed.app. I'll respond within 30 days.

6. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

For EU residents (GDPR)

I process your data based on your explicit consent (joining the waitlist). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting me. I do not transfer data outside the EU/US without adequate protections.

For California residents (CCPA)

I do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what data I collect, request deletion, and opt out of any future data sales (though I have no plans to sell data — ever). To make a request, email privacy@humanfeed.app.
